Insulin Pump Therapy Program
Tighter blood glucose control can literally change the course of your patient's lives. The ten-year DCCT (Diabetes Control and Complications Trial) showed that "Intensive Therapy" reduced eye, nerve, or kidney disease complications by 50% to 76%. In cases where a patient with diabetes has consistent problems maintaining their blood glucose level to a degree where their medical expenses run excessive due to emergency room visits, doctor visits, etc. and their HbA1c level is high; insulin pump therapy can make a lot of sense. Our insulin pump programs include training of the patient on the use of the pump and follow up support.
Asthma and Respiratory
In the United States asthma affects 14.6 billion people. It is the most common childhood chronic disease, affecting approximately 4.8 million children. This disease can start in infancy, childhood or adulthood. The prevalence and the mortality of asthma have both increased over the last two decades. Also, there is an overall increase in asthma severity, with an increase in death.
Following the BLN program of integrating patient education and support with the patient's medication and medical supplies fulfillment, health plans can achieve both short-term and long-term cost savings, while establishing a foundation for effective disease management.
