ParSORB absorbent gel packets are designed to absorb ileostomy pouch contents. ParSORB granules are non-toxic and are packaged within a disssolvable (water soluble) film packet. To use, just drop the intact packet into the ostomy pouch eath time the ostomy pouch is emptied or cleansed. As the pouch begins to fill, the packet dissolves and ParSORB super absorbent granules become a semi-solid gel that keeps pouch contents away from the stoma. The gel also helps eliminate pouch noise and makes ostomy pouch contents easy to empty. The result is an increase in confidence and convenience for the wearer of the ostomy pouch.

ParSORB Absorbent Gel Packets were developed to promote patient confidence and s upport an active lifestyle for colostomates and ileostomates. Noise and peristomal irritation are among the top concerns of ileostomy patients. The super absorbent material in ParSORB gel packets transforms liquid into a semi-solid gel which keeps the liquid contents away from the stoma, reduces sloshing and pouch noise, and makes the pouch easier to empty.

In a survey (conducted by Parthenon) of new patients who tried this product, 80% rated ParSORB "effective" to "very effective" in its ability to keep pouch contents away from teh stoma, improve convenience and user confidence, and eliminate pouch noise.

Directions

One-piece drainable appliances: Users simply drop the ParSORB packet into the pouch through the tail, then seal the tail.
Two-piece drainable appliances: Users simply drop the ParSORB packet into the ostomy pouch through the flange before attaching the pouch.
